Join us as we celebrate the innovators, creators, and icons of NZ wine.

With over 30 small-production wineries under one roof, the New Zealand Boutique Wine Festival is NZ’s only event dedicated to the artisans of our wine scene. Alongside the hustle and bustle at Imperial lane, you will have the opportunity to taste hundreds of unique, small-production wines, indulge in a tasting lunch menu at Everybody’s, take part in expert masterclasses, and embark on vertical tastings only offered at this festival.
Join us on June 10th for an entertaining day of wine, music and discovery!

Master Classes

Our Masterclasses have been carefully selected to enhance your knowledge about wine. Specific, on-point topics have been selected to add to your overall experience.

Vertical Tastings

A vertical is a tasting of a ‘flight’ of wines from one vineyard, one grape variety, of several different vintages. These tastings demonstrate how different external conditions (weather, time of picking, a winemaker’s particular nuances) are reflected in each wine.

The Venue

The Imperial Building is an eclectic collection of some of the most unique and well located heritage spaces in the heart of Auckland. Built between 1886 and 1911, the original Imperial Buildings at 44 Queen St, together with other buildings on the site, have undergone a $12 million revitalisation with a full suite of modern building facilities while at the same time retaining all the richness and character which only the passage of time can create.

For the event, we use as much of the original infrastructure as possible, to create a truly boutique environment when enjoying the best wine New Zealand has to offer. We hope you enjoy this unique space during the New Zealand Boutique Wine Festival 2018. The venue entrance on the day will be located at 7 Fort Lane, Auckland CBD.
